Does anyone know when Symantec Backup Exec.cloud will be available in Austria and under what pricing?
Also, does anyone know the location of the servers where our data would be stored (Europe? US?)?
Finally, does anyone know how private, safe, and secure our data would be (Would the CIA, the FBI, or similar companies have access to our data?)?
Any input is appreciated, thank you in advance.

Current US laws (Patriot Act)
Current US laws (Patriot Act) allow the US government to access data stored in foreign countries, if the company is US based. The EU is not too pleased with this, and is going to change the EU data protection laws to address this. This is still work in progress. The EU does not represent all of Europe either, nor other countries, so you should check your own local laws and statues.
That said, you are better off talking to a local Symantec reseller or Symantec employee in your country, rather than this forum. It's not difficult for you to do that, if you just contact a local reseller. Resellers have access to Symantec through back channels.

Yes, I confirm that is pretty much what a Symantec rep has told me regarding the Patriot Act.
I will follow your suggestion and try to contact a Symantec reseller in my area (Austria) to try and get more accurate and precise information specifically for my area.

I will post here the answers I got from a Symantec rep, in case anyone else is interested (thank you user CraigV for the suggestion and links that made it possible):
"1.When will Symantec Backup Exec.cloud be available in Austria?
BE.cloud will be available in EMEA in Q1 CY 2012. There is currently a Beta underway, and users can sign up by filling out the form located here: http://www.symanteccloud.com/backup_exec_beta
2.How will Symantec Backup Exec.cloud be priced in Austria?
BE.cloud is priced per front end GB (that is, the amount of data selected for backup), and will be sold in blocks of 10GB capacities. There is no pricing published as of yet for EMEA.
3.What is the location of the servers where our data would be stored? Is that negotiable?
There will be one data center located in the Netherlands which would store backup data. This is the only option today.
4.How private, safe, and secure would our data be? Would the CIA, FBI, and/or similar organizations have access to our data?
Data is encrypted via AES 256 bit encryption, and all agent communication is via HTTPS. As Symantec is a US company, the US Patriot Act could conceivably come into play – although that is an unlikely scenario."
