Backup Failure on Macintosh System

Hi,

I am using Veritas 11d 7170, and installed a remote agent for Macintosh Systems on MAc OS X Server. When i start backup job then the backup fails with the error:

V-79-57344-33967 - Directory not found. Cannot backup directory /Volumes/SHD2/Lacie Disk2/General Book Backup/General Books/Complate Project General Book On DLT Tape/ED303 E. Animal Encyclopedia/ED303 Administartion/ED303 E. Animal Encyclopedia/â ¢Gone To India/ED303 Libraries-Templates/E-Animal Template Instructions/File Naming Conventions and its subdirectories.

If anyone have a solution for it please let me know, as the backup has to be started as soon as it will be possible.

Hi,

Good News i have solved the problem. Actually there is no issue with MAC Agent, the issue is that the some of the file names used in MAC OS X server is not recognized under Windows. Like a file name starting with bulleted character. So i had renamed the files under MAC according to compatibilty to windows and thence the Backup runs succesfully.
