backup files on second server

This issue has been solved. See solution.
We are running BE 2010R3 on a single server and will be adding a second server.....can I backup files on that server or do I need to purchase another license? Also, should I upgrade to BE 2012?

To backup files on the other server, you need to purchase and install a remote agent licence. Once you have installed the licence and selected the option, you need to push out the remote agent (go to Tools --> Install agent ...) to the remote server. After this, you would be able to select this remote server for backup.
