Backup is in hang status & unable to kill bpbkar32.exe shwoing low I/O write

Hi all

Below is the environment details

Master Server Solaris10 / NBU hostname=mstnetbkp

Media server Solaris10 / NBU hostname =netback1

Client Windows2003 / NBU hostname=ESOPPROD


Backup is hang status showing "begin writing" only . on server showing discrepancy in I/O Read write there is low I/O write on the server

please find attached logs from client & suggest

Have you excluded bpbkar32 (and other NBU binaries) from AntiVirus software?

Please do the bpbkar test on the client with logging level increased to 1 or 2. See  

Use the first path in the Backup Selection:

bpbkar32 -nocont E:\MovedBackup 1> nul 2> nul

The data you backup looks like Oracle data, are you sure those are just database dump files, or busy online data? If it's the latter, it will be best to use Oracle policy type.

What type of filesystem is E:\  since it's not NTFS volume?

Below are the replied when raised with windows admin

"As per the bug check ID 0xCB, driver or the I/O manager failed to release locked pages after an I/O operation. In this case afd.sys driver is casing the issue."

"upgraded antivirus on Same OS "

 This issue got fixed since issue was with " /E/MovedBackup "  since multiple activity done by OS Team for disk consitancy
