Hi all,
i m having issue with BE2010r3, during file level backup job is getting failed with error:0xe000fe30-a communication failure has occured.
i checked remote agent version,
able to access local drives of remote server
remote agent service working fine
but 10000 port is not communicating with media server
Please help

10000 port is not communicating with media server
You got to trouble-shoot why this is so, perhaps another application is using the port or a firewall is blocking it. With a working port 10000, BE will not work.

but client says earlier it was working and network team has checked as beengine is using 10000 port of remote server. but telnet communication is going failed from media server.
please suggest..
If you cannot telnet from the remote server to the media server, then it is not a BE problem. You would have to sort this out first.

Because of some problem in client's environment 10000 port of remote server having issue to communicate with media server hence added ndmp 9000/tcp #Network Data Management Protocol in services file of windows\System32\Drivers\etc of remote server.
On media server backup exec site given range 8000 to 10025 under tools>options>network&security>enable remote agent TCP dynamic port range (8000)to(100025);
And issue is resolved.
