Backup Job hangs with "e0008821 error

Windows 2003 Server.... BE 11d rev 6235  up to date on all hot fixes
Exabyte Magnum 7 LTO tape library....Backup job hangs after completing last target....
I attempt to cancel job and it still hangs.  I restarted server.  Job log shows the error in subject line
I have tried the fixes suggested on the support site, however , it still behaves the same....any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi William -
What type of error are you receiving?
Does this happen on any job you run?
Check the Windows Device Manager. Does the Medium Changer in the list show "Unknown Medium Changer"?
Also check the Tape Device Drivers. What version number and date do you see under the "Driver" Tab?

I get the e0008821 error... only after I reboot.  I try to cancel the job, but it fails to shutdown

Unknown tape library.  

Tape Drive Ultrium 3 lto3 sequential drive.  symantec corp... 5.1  1/12/07

From the error number you gave it appears you are receiving the RPC service error. Here is a tech note that may be of some use to you. Let me know if it helps.
