Backup job / policy question

I have BackupExec 11d  (7071)

I currently have a backup jobs that is a standard Full backup to Tape, of an Exchange 2003 server. 
The backup job is set to preform a grnaular backup of the Stores.
There is 6 jobs that run one full job each weekday night that backs up to that nightly backup tape, and a weekly backup on the weekly tape set.

The job was setup before I took over the role.

If I wanted to setup this job to first backup to disk (B2D), and then transfer to tape.

Can I modify this jobs to preform this task, or do I have to create a new policy to run such a job?

Since this is a 2-stage job,

Since this is a 2-stage job, it is best to a policy to string the two jobs together.  The other way is to schedule the jobs so that they run one after another.

B2D2T - Policy

Solution

Hi,

i would recomand to setup a new policy with the new policy wizard to setup a B2D2T Policy.
It is very important that from the B2D backup only a duplicate is written on tape.
