Backup Exec does not have any feature to take backups of Microsoft Visual Sorce Safe. You can check the Software Compatibility List as well:
http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH137682 : Backup Exec 2010|2010 R2|2010 R3 Software (SCL)
If supported version of SQL is the database for Microsoft Visual Sorce Safe then you can backup the database using BAckup Exec agent for SQL. (I do not think Microsoft Visual Sorce Safe uses SQL thou)

Well there is no seprate Option avaiable to backup the VSS.
As VSS stores the database in native format its avaiable as a flat file format.
either Run a vSS commandline backup and backup the Data that was archived by the VSS.
ref to MS knowledgebase article on how to backup VSS
support.microsoft.com/kb/244016
But if it Allows to backup the database You may do it ( but not an option or an agent from symantec to do so)
Hi,
As per the microsoft thread mention below:-
support.microsoft.com/kb/244016
It worked....
I have taken the backup of the following folder and files:-
\users
\data
\temp
user.txt
Srcsafe.ini
All the above folder and files are in c:\VSS (by default).
I have removed some databasea and user from the VSS console(Microsoft Visual Source safe and Microsoft Visual Source safe Administrator) and after restoration every thing with overwrite option from the symantec restoration option, it worked. The restoration have done successfully with all permission intact.
Thanks to every body for good suggestion.
