Hi,

 i'm after some advice if possible. I'm currently backing up data & mail from 3 file & print servers and one exchange server. I up to now have been backing up each server via it's own backup  job each night. However it appears that this method is no longer viable as i'm getting tapes being protected from being overwritten etc as they have been used earlier in the week.

Would a better solution be to create 2 jobs, one for a full backup of the exchange server each weekday evening, and then backup all of the other servers in one job, using and incremental job during the week, and a full backup each sunday?

Re media sets, should i create multiple sets, one for the daily exchange backup, one for the incrementals and another for the weekend backup? What sort of over write protection should i set, as what i was hoping to do was to use a group of 9 tapes for 10 nights worth of backups? 

Another problem i have is that the tapes in BUE10 are showing as only being 147GB, If i have the VXA320, then the tapes should show as 320Gb surely. Or is this another lost binary value translation similar to windows & hard drive space?
