Hi All,

We have a windows client where we are backing up around 500GB of data daily..recently from last 4-5 days.. i have found that although nothing has changed.. only about 18GB is being backed up.. only thing is client has been upgraded from 6.0 to .6.5 , master server is hp-ux 11iv2 , is there any log file where i can see why files are being skipped, cross mount point and backup network drive has already been selected in policy

bpkar debugging

You can enable bpbkar debugging, Please read this  tech note: Usage specifics of the bpbkar_path_tr touch file to enable enhanced debug logging of the bpbkar process

By analyzing the bpbkar debug log file, you can see files being backup'ed  but also those being excluded.

Assumption is the mother of all mess ups.

If this post solved you’re questions please send a gratitude by marking it as a solution.
