Backup SQL server not on the Backup Exec server

Hello,

I need to know what I need to backup an SQL server that is not on the same server than the Backup Exec server.

For sure, I need the SQL agent, but do I need an other agent?

Hi,

Nope. All you need is the Agent for Microsoft SQL Server. This itself includes a RAWS license so no need for 1 of these...just the SQL agent.

Load the license on the media server and push-install to your SQL server.
