Backup Symantec Backupexec 10d(10.1 R2 5629) server application configuration

Hello,

I would like to request work instructions regarding backing up of such a server.
We would like to reinstall the domain controller that hosts this application and we need to know how to backup the configuration files of symantec backupexec 10d.

Hi there,

If you want to bac up the configuration of the Backup Exec server, I would suggest backing up the Data and Catalogs folders, along with the System STate. This would include the BEWS DB, and all the catalogs necessary to restore BEWS to a recent state.

If it is a DC you're talking about backing up, then the System State and any necessary folders. If you have the Active Directory agent, this will also help in backing up AD itself and restoring from there too.
