Hi,

i've got a little problem with our new backup server.

I've copyed the database from the old one to the new one. (-> TECH49757)

All is fine, all selections lists, all server, etc there, BUT: in the devices tab, where our Backup2Disc-Folder als configured, there is the "old server" with all devies. We dont care about the name that stands there, but the problem is, that alle devies are shown as offline.

Here is an answer: http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/move-back-exec-database-new-server

... you can use that too only thing which could happen after migration can be it can show the name of old server in devices tab or device pool with the technote

Are there any further steps i have to do, that all B2D-folders are available?

Thanks!

Quick Look Solution

The B2D's from the old server

The B2D's from the old server will not come online, You will have to edit BEDB to remove old

media server name and all other device from the old server.
