BackupExec 2010 R3: Exchange B2Disk slow
Backing up the IS in a CCR enviroment on the passive node (with or without GRT does no matter) on the same server to Disk is running with max 150MB/min - copying naked files from EDB-Disk to Backup-Disks runs with 5 - 8GB/min.
Backing up this server with BackupExec 2010 R3 from another Server via LAN to tape runs with 2GB/min.
2x 2008 Server x64 & Exchange 2007 CCR & BackupExec 2010 R3, all with all SPs and CUs on IBM Bladeserver.
System on local RAID-1 SAS, Exchange and Backupvolumes via FC-SAN to a DS4300 with 15krpm FC Disks, LTO3-TapeLibrary via FC-SAN
Filesystems are defragmented, the Backupvolume is 1,2TB and completely empty now.
No AV exept Forefront Security for Exchange, wich is running on the appropriate active node.
No CPU / RAM / HDD or Network-throughput bottlenecks.
One Servers backups to tape w/o GRT via LAN evry night, the passive node itself backups with GRT to disk after the other job is finished.
We used 12.5 before and had max. 0,8GB/min which is not the best, too, until 1st of September 2013. Since that time we got sometimes "A failure occurred querying the Writer status..." but the vssadmin tool showed us no errors and no other shadows. After a lot of troubleshooting and experimenting I updated all the servers to 2010 R3 but with no effort - 150MB/s is inacceptable slow.
Thnx for any ideas
