This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hello all,

we are using backup exec 9.0 and 9.1 for netware servers.

On a few servers, the data can not be written on one tape anymore, and the backup job stops and is waiting for the second tape or cancellation of the job.

Is there a way to modify that?
I would like to have it starting automatically when the new tape is inside, and I dont have to confirm again that the job should continue.

Ive checked for any comment in the BESRVR.CFG, but nothing seemed to match for my desire.

Do you have an idea?

thanks in advance,

kind regards,

martin

I've never used BENW,  but with BEWS, you HAVE to reply "OK" to the mount prompt before the job will continue

RE: Continue on Second Tape

Correct

If you have two drives in a Device Pool, both with scratch tapes mounted, or a loader with two scratch tapes mounted,  if the job is  pointed at the pool, it should automatically switch drives/tapes

with a standalone drive, you must reply to the "Mount Scratch Tape" prompt before the job will continue
