Hi -
Im using Bexec 2010, connected to a NAS.
All my Bexec backups are stored on the NAS, not offsite.

Im looking for a solution where it is possible to get backups offsite to location 2. Today I make regular USB backups of the shared NAS folder, manually work.
Is it possible to setup some kind of offsite deduplication folder, where backups are deduplicated over internet somehow to location 2 ?

Any suggestions please :)

Kind r

OK, I see.

One more question for the experts. Im trying to create a DeDup folder directly on a NAS, but Backup Exec wont allow this.  This is not possible?

On a NAS, no.  It must be direct attached, DAS, or fiberchannel.

I would NOT recommend USB for a dedupe storage folder.  an eSATA would work, maybe iSCSI if done right...  And there are a lot of ways to do iSCSI wrong.

There is an online portal, save yourself the long hold times. Create ticket online, then call in with ticket # in hand :-) "We backup data to restore, we don't backup data just to back it up."
