Bar Code Solution Question.

Hi All,

We've just upgraded our Barcode Solution to Barcode Solution 6.7 and we are now using the Symbol PPT 8800 scanner. Well, before the upgrade the scanner was working fine with no issues but now that we've upgraded to 6.7, we are seeing something new.

When we start the Barcode Solution on the scanner, an error pops up saying 'No scanners selected. Please select a scanner from the Preferences dialog.'

Have anyone seen this error before? Does anybody know where to find the Preferences dialog? Where do you think I can find the solution to this issue (Altiris Barcode or Symbol)?

Symbol PPT 8800 Scanner Preferences

I had this same problem after the upgrade. You'll find the scanner preferences in the barcode application. Its a small icon in the lower left hand corner. After it opens up you'll be able to select the "Symbol - Integrated" scanner.
