Created: 28 Mar 2013 | 3 comments

When doing backup of a Windows Machine I am encountering this error

BMRERR: Received BMR error: The driver for RAID Ctrl SAS 6G 0/1 (D2607) is not compatible with Windows PE. You may need to create a driver package that is Windows PE compatible to restore this system using Bare Metal Restore. (0)

Any Solutions.

You need to add Windows PE compatible driver. Please contact your hardware vendor and ask it.

BTW, what version of Windows and NetBackup are you using?

Hello, I am using Windows Server 2008 R2. Netbackup 7.1.

There is a folder called Windows PE in the CD I was given. Do I have to install All of them?

No, what you should is to obtain Windows PE compatible driver for this RAID card and add it into BMR database using Drive Package Wizard. Windows PE bundled in NetBackup 7.1 is based on WIndows Server 2008(not R2), so add Windows Server 2008 driver into BMRDB using the wizard.

You can start Driver Package Wizard from Bare Metal Restore Boot Server Assistant on Windows BMR Boot Server.
