I'm wading through the documentation for SEP 12.1 and most of it seems to be sales-speak.  I'm hoping someone can give me some answers to basic linux functionality questions...

    1. Does SEP 12.1 for linux support real-time file access scanning similar to the way does?

    2. Can SEP 12.1 linux clients be managed/updated the same way windows clients can with the management console?

    1. Yes, the Linux client has an Auto-Protect component.
    2. No. It's actually still SAV for Linux (SAVFL). You can direct reporting (client logs) to the SEPM but the clients can't be managed.

You're welcome! Please feel free to mark my answer as the solution.

If you go to the Ideas section of this site, search for managed linux--several ideas are already there in support of this functionality.
