Hi!

Im doing a Week/Daily backup to a USB disk using BackupExec 12.5 (latest rev.).
After the backup is completed successfully a duplicate is scheduled to start to another USB disk.
When the duplicate is finished it always is reported as failed (se attached screenie):

Job ended: den 31 december 2009 at 20:35:59
Completed status: Failed
Final error: 0xe0008445 - The media operation was terminated by the user.
Final error category: Job Errors

For additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-33861

Verify- System?State System?State
The query for media sequence number 20 of this media family was unsuccessful.
Ensure that all media in the family have been inventoried and cataloged.

Now, ive been looking around like a loon on every site i can find regarding this error, but only finds a solution to BE 11d (not workin in 12.5).

Do anyone have a hint regarding this?

Cheers

/Peter

Hi Peter,

Do you perhaps remove that drive you duplicate the backups too? If so, have you inventoried it as per the error message?

Thanks!

Hi, looks like you have a

Hi,

looks like you have a very unique problem here. I see there was a post in 2008 which wasn't even answered.
What I have done is included a couple of tech articles to read over, but they all relate to BEWS 10...might be worth making the change to see if it does anything, but backup your registry before doing ANYTHING...
