BE 2010 VMware Agent issues when backing up through vCenter

I have installed BE 2010 with the VMware agent and having some problems when backing up virtual machines through vCenter.  When the backup job finished I get a message "V-79-57344-38721 - Failed to mount one or more virtual disk images:"  I have tried using several different accounts when connecting to vCenter through BE, but they all seem to do the same thing.  The error seems to cause the GRT from working and I have no option of restoring files from within the machine.

When backing up directly through the individual ESX hosts as root, the backups do not fail and GRT restores work awesome, very nice functionality.

Can someone explain exactly which permissions, accounts, etc... I should be using to backup through vCenter?

Thanks,

Deryck

In vCenter, on Datacenter

In vCenter, on Datacenter level, grant administrator-level permissions for you Backup Exec account (which have domain admin rights if domain environment). Here's a good article for that; http://www.petri.co.il/virtual_understanding_vmware_esx_users_groups_roles.htm

Update - Admin permissions required

Thanks for the reply, I have since tried a domain admin account and it works like a charm.  I think I was confused since root worked with the invidual hosts.  In order to backup machines through vCenter, you must have an account that is in the local administrators group on the guest itself, not just within vCenter.
