Hi,

Are you on SP5 with all available patches installed, and have these been push-installed to any remote servers?

If not, do so and try again.

also check and make sure that no AV is perhaps blocking beserver.exe...and if need-be, do a repair of the installation through Add/Remove Programs.

Thanks!

If you find this is a solution, please mark it as such.

Is Backup Exec 11d fully updated with all patches/hotfixes such as SP5 - http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH126846

Hello Russell,

When does the service stops? Does it stops during any backups or when the server is idle?

Also "version 11.0.7170.0" suggest that there is a possibility that Backup Exec is not updated to the latest HFs.

Please download and install the latest SP from the following link if it is not updated:

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH126846 : Backup Exec 11.0 for Windows Servers revision 7170 Service Pack 5 Installation Notes.

Thanks,

-Sush...

Hope this piece of Information Helps you... and if it does then mark this response as Solution....!!!

If it a CASO server then first you need to update the CASO server and then all the MMS.

1st. CASO

2nd. MMS Servers

3rd. All other remote servers

In this order...
