Hi All,

I have a licensed BE 2010 which we upgraded to 2012 but upon upgrade the BE becomes a trial version. I have tried to reinstall the license files/slf but nothing chage.

Upon checking on the home tab, my maintenace contract is OK but the BE itself is on trial version.

Any help regarding this?

Thanks,

Vince

You should have 2 .slf files, one for BE itself and one for the maintenance.  If you do not have the .slf file for BE itself, then you need to contact the Symantec Licencing department to get it.

Yes.  If not, contact Symantec Licencing to get them.

When you import the SLF files and click next, make sure you check the boxes in front of both the licenses and then install it again.

Thanks

If youre still unable to get the media server out of trial mode you should reach out to the licensing team as suggested by PKH above.. Below is a document detailing how to contact licensing

I hope this posting was helpful

Call your local Symantec support number and select Option 2 to contact the Licencing people.  You can talk to them directly.
