BE12.5 Exchange 2003 GRT restore staging entire store

We have just upgraded to 12.5 and now our GRT restores are trying to stage the entire 50GB store before recovering a single email. This used to be a 30 second recovery and now would take hours if I let it continue. Am I missing a setting somewhere? I only do full backups first to a local 2TB USB B2D that then copies the backup to an attached iSCSI array. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is by design, and allows Backup Exec to restore individual messages from the Store backup without having to go down the road of backing up the Store at brick-level which could take a stupidly large amount of time.
