Hello everybody,

Does anyone know what the maximum size of a BE2012 deduplication store is?

Thanks!

BE supports max 16TB of dedup folder.

Refer to http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO23357

Above link applies for BE2012 too

Upto 32 TB of *deduplicated* data is supported with BE 2012.

Have a look at http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO73688

Till 2010 it was 16 TB only.

EDIT: And according to recommendation/best practise, you would be needing 32*1.5 GB = 48 GB of RAM to maintain 32 TB of deduplicated data.

Thanks to the both of you for the super fast reaction! :-) I found the 16 TB for BE2010 and was hoping that BE2012 would indeed support more. Thanks again.

A second question just came up in my head. There is only 1 dedup store supported on a BE2012 server right? So I should have 2 BE2012 servers if I need to support more then 32 TB of data in that case. Am I correct?
