 Hi,

Really hoping somebody out there can shed some light or offer a solution, I am unable to convert the BESR images to .vmdk files...

I use vmware fusion and also vmware workstation to test the images, I would store the images to an external USB drive, and using my test vmware server running either BESR 8.5 or BESR 2010 I use that to convert the image to a new .vmdk file

This file is then imported to a new vmware session and I can test the severs...

The following is the error returned when trying to do the conversion...

Error EC8F1F48: The 'Vmware VMDK' conversion process could not be completed.
Error EC8F1FDB: Unable to create virtual disk. This could be due to one of the following reasons:
- Destination path does not exist.
- Insufficient disk space.
- Invalid credential or permissions on destination path.
- Network errors.

BESR 2010 VMDK conversion failure

We are getting the exact same error.  We have a 300GB Windows Server 2008 parition that we are using BESR 2010 to backup to SV2I and then convert to VMDK and upload to our ESX host.  Symantec support cannot give us an answer on why it is failing and is sending us a drive to copy our SV2I onto so they can test it in their lab.

Has anyone come across a fix?
