BESR2010 kills Exchange 2010?

Hi All,

Have been playing around with BESR2010 on an Exchange 2010 box. It's a Windows Server 2008 R2 virtual server with only Exchange 2010 and Forefront 2010 installed. It's a fresh testlab so nothing out of the ordinary is installed. The BESR2010 software is on an Admin server with the agent installed on the Exchange 2010 server.

When the software was installed I ran a backup straight away to a network attached drive (which worked a treat), however on the scheduled run at 4am it looks to kill the server. Logging on it's stuck at around 89% and I can't cancel or kill off the agent. I unfortunately can't even reboot the server, I have to reboot the physical host to get the whole system up and running again. It may be forefront but I can't see anything immediately obvious given nothing else is on the server. Are there any BESR log files I can check to see where it 'hangs'?

It may be a completely incorrect setup/use of the BESR software given it's a virtual server so any suggestions welcome although it's in place as more of a test before we go live.

Maybe???

This question is tough, considering BESR has a Virtual Machine Version now in the 2010 series, which I haven't used yet. With that said, can anyone confirm if the standard BESR 2010 package can image VM's, or do those users now require BESR 2010 for VM's???
