  • 1.  Best Practice for DLP deployment

    Posted Mar 27, 2014 08:56 AM

    Hi

We have deployed DLP (Network Discover) within the UK and now wish to extend it to our international locations (US, Australia and Europe).

We are currently in the design phase and are looking for advice on whether we should do all the DLP scanning from our UK data centres or deploy Network Discover servers to the international locations and just return incidents to the centralised Enforce Server.

Any advice what should be considered and on the best approach would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Paul

Paul I would deploy each discover server in the region, it is going to cut down on overall traffic from scanning remotely. Also if you are scanning put files you need outlook installed on the discover server.

    Hi pauld2014,

Yeah, its good advice given by stumunro.

You should install network discover to each region to reduce network traffic load and it is highly recommnded as part of Best practice followed.

This wil not only reduce the traffic load but also good performance and result.
