    Hi, All

I have some question about Software Product.
After intallation all CMS 7 & AMS 7, I entered some Software Products which I have to manage.
Few days later, there was some other Software Products which I didn't enter so it makes me confuse to manage many of Software Products. (Especially when I try to resource associate with software license, there are same software product which makes me confuse what product should be selected)
I checked this Software Product and I found out this is from Patch Management but I don't understand why Patch Management get theses things to Software Product.
Does anyone know what is best practice of managing Software Product? and Is it OK delete all software products comes from Patch Management?
    Sorry for poor english,
    Thanks.

    Hi Alex,

In general, I would not suggest deleting Software Resources unless you know nothing is using them.  I've deleted things before, though, without problems.

You can select two Software Resources in the Catalog and right-click them, then choose to merge them.  Or select one of them and right-click it, then go to the Actions menu, and you'll find a "Resolve Duplicate Software Resources" option that helps you pick which item to merge, and gives you an option to reassign the resource identifiers of computers with that resource, so you don't have an orphaned references.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi Kyle,

Thanks a lot! It would help so much!

Just I don't understand even now why Patch Management pull so many software products informantion into software product in software catalog. Do you have any idea about this or how to stop this policy? I guess this problem might be on and on.

    Thank you.
