I'm currently in the middle of that. There's a few options. Be ready to have tech support on the line.
First the disclaimer:
It not recommended, it can create a multitude of issues. Here is a list of some of the issues you will encounter: If you need to move the agent files in addition files it has been my experience that this is nearly impossible, I have not been able to do this successfully with doing it on a brand new server. If you move the Software and Patch packages from C to D, clients checking in could have difficulty in finding them. You need to make sure that there location is updated on the Notification Server. It may be better to do the new install on a new server. Here is an article that discusses the best way to do that. This is the path I went. I did use the same FQDN and DNS records for the new server to hopefully have less issues. After the install I had to change the locations for my patch management downloads and software librarys. I'm not completely done yet so there may be some lasting issues I havent seen yet. I also had to build the applications in IIS manually. For some reason the install didnt put them there.
