BEW folders left on client servers

Created: 05 Mar 2010 • Updated: 08 Sep 2010 | 1 comment

We have noticed that we are accumulating folders on our Backup Exec client servers that roughly match the dates of our pushed updates to the  client servers from our Backup Exec server.  The number of folders on each server varies and some are shared and some are not.  The folders reside in the root level of the C: drive and have the same naming format "BEW-hexcode"  (i.e.  BEW-789G8348K8348G908432S3434T4343L)

Some common characteristics of the folders are listed below:  (Screen shot attached).

BEW -hexcode
   VxPushRA
      RAWS32
           setup.exe
           stripmon.exe

The questions are:

1) Do we need to maintain these folders or can we delete them.
2) If we need to maintain them, can we re-organize them to put them into a common folder (Backup Exec) on the root level - to contain the mess at the root level of C:
3) if we need to maintain them, can we disable sharing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can delete these folders.  These folders should have been deleted by BE after each push.
