This issue has been solved. See solution.

Just want to know your suggestion.

One of our client currently running a BEWS 11D build 7170. Box for Active Directory changed from Windows 2003 to Windows 2008. As we re-install the agent on the said server that we have migrated. We never had a normal or successful backup. Job log says that the connection to target system has been lost. Most probably the problem is with the version of Remote Agent installed in Windows 2008 server which is the 11D. Is upgrading the best option to do? We are planning that by the end of the year, but as of the moment is there a way to have a successful job with this kind of setup?

tnx

It is not supported, its not

It is not supported, its not even on the system requirements for BEWS 11d. what's the best thing you can do here is to upgrade you're BEWS 11d to BEWS 12.5 and install the remote agent on windows 2008 server. Try running a backup and check if you still get the errror related to connection to target system has been lost.
