BExec 2012 : multiple servers on a daily tape ?

This issue has been solved. See solution.

We have just migrated to BExec 2012 (From 2010), and I'm starting to wonder if it was a good idea. Indeed, I've discoverd that I cannot have multiple server in a single job, which was I usually do since Veritas BExec.

Usually, I had one single job, every night, doing backup of files (DFS Servers), SQL Databases (SQL Servers), and a complete System state (Domain Controller) on a tape, for disaster recovery. I used to set this job to overwrite tape (on a 14 days basis, I have 10 LTO Tape for monday/tuesday... to Friday) and to eject tape at the end of the jobs.

Every morning, I switch my tape, and take the new one at home.

So my question is really simple : how can I achieve the same result using 2012 ?!

Reading the forum, I've read that I could set my 6 servers to backup (complete), then set by server the selection (because I dont want to save complete server for a DFS server, what's the point ?). But it seems I have 6 jobs now. So, the morning, my tape is ejected but only one server had been saved. The other one wait for a tape to be available.

I'm sure that's not a particular use of BExec, so I'm confident there is a way to achieve this, but I just can't found it. It seems that more than 10 years of old logical had formatted my brain ;)

Thanks for your help !

Have you had a look at this KB -

How to back up multiple servers to a single series of tapes in Backup Exec 2012 -

Yeah it seems to be the solution about overwritting, but what about ejecting the tape ?

For now, the only workaround I've found is scheduling one of my server later than the other, and this only job has the option to eject the tape.

This is the only way to go with BE 2012

I really don't understand why you choose to make a downgrade like that.

Now I have 8 mails every morning, instead of one global mail.

This might help.... if it ever is released...  Should really be added to the answers from the symantec employees.

Also might want to take a look at this
