  • 1.  Block Exe files from running

    Few of my client are running some games from there desktop. How can i Block using SEP firewall. i was planning to block using EXE but it will block all other programs running on the machine.

     i cant block using port as well b'coz different game will use different Port.

    hi, if you know the application name, then you should be using the application and device controlpolicy to block the application.

    You may first try logging the event before blocking the application.

    you must to create rule in SEPM.
    You can create new rule or modify your application rule > Application Control > click Add
     you can see new window. and click add under left side.  click it and create new rule.
    (by the way you can use group policy (if you have Active directory Or local policy)  for  block exe files under user congfiguration> administrative templates>system>don't run specified windows applications. you write exe name in here.like fifa09.exe etc.
