Hello,

What verison of SEP are you using?

You can use the custom IPS signature.

check the articles

https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/articles/block-mp3-downloads-using-ips-signatures-sepm

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=HOWTO55177

OR

Copy the autorun.inf policy.

You can get a copy of that here: Article URL http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH104909

Replace the autorun.inf entry with *.mp3. Rename the policy and apply.

OR

Work on the Kashish's Policy provided above.

Hope that helps!!

Hi Sach007,

Even if you are able to successfully block media downloads, there are many additional ways that users can bring media in and get it onto their computers.  USB drives, downlaoded in password protected .zip files, etc.  One main point of entry is via email.  A friend (or the user, from home) can just email the song or movie clip to their work address.

Using a product like Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange can help to close off this email route into the company environment.
