Block IP messenger

Hi,

Can anyone tell me or send me the link which has the information on how to block IP messenger using Symantec end point protection.

I am having the below information:

                1] Block all ipmsg.exe for this group of users

                2] Block Signature “749453af77844f9fda248be43ed71859”

But when I apply the policy, it doesnt work.I am running version 11.0.6.x

 

Please throw some light...

have the clients taken the

have the clients taken the policy?

have the clients been restarted once after policy been applied?

Is it 64 bit clients?If it is

Is it 64 bit clients?If it is 64 bit clients application and device control will not work.

 

Also assure that you are installed all features of SEP in the client........

You may have to block some

You may have to block some ports and need to have Network Threat Protection installed on the computers.
