  • 1.  Block Specific language on the specific domain

    Hi, 

    I am facing Spams on SMG , these spams are in different languages. i want to block external mails of different languages but on specific domains. As some domains wants to recieve external mails and mostly they are in different languages 

    Is it possible in symantec messaging gateway to block externals mails of specific language on specific domains ??

    Hi Irteza, Can yopu please try creating seperate policy groups. Administration>Policy groups and Select which languages you want to recieve email for thatpolicy groups.

    And if you are using SMG versio 10.0.1-2 . You can have your own custom specific rulesets to block any spam messages you want. Please also submit these messages to Symantec Security response. Blockng these messages using compliance policies and Group policies is not the right approach. When you submit spam sample to Symantec, it is not only helping you but also assisting rest of the community as well.

    Policy Groups are only valid for the recipients in an incoming email. You would only be able to make this decision based on the recipients. As Mudassar said, creating custom spam rules would be a better option.
