This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hello Folks,

one of my customers is searching for the correct GUIDs to allow iPhone Devices in Application and Device control but block all other USB-Devices such as USB Keys, USB Mass Storage devices etc.

did anyone figure out how to do that? I was staring at DevViewer for 1 Day to find the correct IDs and tried all I could find that had "Apple" or "iPhone" in the Name but was not able to get this to work.

Thank you,

Holger

Hi,

Get Device id instead of GUID using DevViewer for Apple Mobile Device USB Driver & add Blocked devices and device excluded from blocking as per screenshot. Add your Device ID in Device Excluded from bloking and assign.

Did you Check what Apple GUID presents in DEV Viewer. unfortunately this is the "default" USB GUID

Apple USB Device GUID from Dev Viewer        {36fc9e60-c465-11cf-8056-444553540000}

Pre defined USB GUID in SEP  Manager         {36fc9e60-c465-11cf-8056-444553540000}

so this would allow ALL USB devices back into the System.

---- EDIT ---

sorry I misread your Comment... yes Device IDs are the way to go, not GUIDs.
I figured out the following Device IDs for some iPhone Versions:
iPhone USB\VID_05AC&PID_1290*
iPhone 3GS USB\VID_05AC&PID_1294*
iPhone 4S USB\VID_05AC&PID_12A0*
iPhone 5 USB\VID_05AC&PID_12A8*

Dev IDs I found but was not able to test due to not having that Device:

iPhone 3G USB\VID_05AC&PID_1292*
iPhone 4 USB\VID_05AC&PID_1297*

If anyone wants to chime in and post iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C Device IDs feel free. I did not find those by searching (yet).

Thanks for all your help
