  • 1.  Blocking VNC using either IPS or App Control on 64bit Client with SEP 11

    All,

I have a Windows 7 64bit Client and I am trying to Block VNC. I want to see if I can do it with either IPS or App Control or both.

I am not having any luck, any suggestions? Should I try it with the Firewall on the Client. I would prefer not to, but any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

SEP 11 does not support ADC policy on 64 bit OS. IPS custom rule might help, however you can use firewall rules for application to block

I thought I had read something like that. You just confirmed my suspicion on this. I also believe it works on SEP 12.

    Thanks,

yes, ADC works on SEP 12.1 clients having 64 bit os.

Note: Application and Device Control Policies do not work on 64-bit client computer in 11.0.
