When you select BMR in policy configuration - encryption is automaticly disabled.

I cant find this information in any document for 6.5..
It's strange becasue some customers want to encrypt everything but when they also want to use BMR it's not possible..

There is a document posted on the support site which states this.

I searched on "client encryption" on the knowledgebase and this was the first document that came up.

You can use BMR with Media Server encryption because the encryption is done at the media server level rather than at the client.

Hi,

Like Marek Said when you select one option the other one is automaticly disabled, nothing else can be done, sad thing but maybe you can try to use an external encripted way has Drive Encription has LTO4 haves, that have nothing to do with Netbackup and you can encript anything you need independently of how NBU stores the data and for the restore the process will be do decript first under the thirdparty option then restore the BMR from netbackup.

Hope this helps
