Symantec Support Cliams that the product is free but upon installation, it requires a Product key to continue.

Contact Symantec Support online and they informed and states that it is free BUT reluctant to give me the KEYS.

Where is the Support when a loyal supporter of Symantec product needs it?

If you're refering to the SERT CD, this is a known issue:

You can grab the latest version, which fixed this, or you can turn your system date prior to end of April 2011.

    Hello,

I think this is the Article which provides the Solution:

    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/why-does-sert-bootable-cd-ask-pin-where-do-i-find-it

The only workaround identified at this stage is to change the BIOS date to a date prior to 30 April 2011 before using SERT, and change it back to the correct date after finish with SERT.

Yes, This issue has been corrected in newer builds of this tool. So, Incase, if you can Download the Latest Version of SERT, that would resolve the issue as well.

    Hope that helps!!
