bpjobd.db and bpjobd.act.db files missing on NBU 7.5.0.5

Created: 18 Mar 2013 | 5 comments

Hello,

Linux NBU master server is missing the bpjobd.db and bpjobd.act.db files. I know there is a EEB for actvity monitor jobs not diplaying properly but are these files supposed to no longer be available?

If so how to I get rid of orphan jobs in the future when the current fix was to play around with these files?

If I'm correct, you can cancel and delete this jobs at 7.5. You do not have to delete them manualy.

Additionally, some jobs may not display in OpsCenter.

As a note, from NetBackup 7.5 onwards, you do not need to stop the NetBackup services to delete any jobs by using bpjobd -r

eg: /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bpjobd -r 1674645
Deleting job(s) can have unintended consequences.
Do you really want to delete job ID(s) 1674645? (y/n) [n]:y

And that will clear it from the activity monitor for you.
