First things first

When you manually execute the script from a command line, does it do what you're expecting it to do?  And how long does it take?

bpstart timeout

Does the scipt long longer than 300 seconds ?. if yes a timeout will occour - but you can increase the timeout by going to Master server properties and select timeout.

Tech note : About the timeout properties

Assumption is the mother of all mess ups.

If this post solved you’re questions please send a gratitude by marking it as a solution.

Under which user account does

Under which user account does NetBackup Client run? If it is LocalSystem, it might not have permission.
Also bear in mind that no user environment variables are passed to the script, unless you specify them.

Supporting Storage Foundation and VCS on Unix and Windows as well as NetBackup on Unix and Windows.
