Brag A Little... Kuddos to Symantec and Dell

Just wanted to give a little kudos to Dell and Symantec for our successfully deployment of SEP11 to over 10,000 clients across 24 remote sites.

We are a school district and can't afford the big boy Altiris which I really dream to have but if anyone knows the State of Arizona.. we are BROKE!  :)  So we installed and deployed the Dell Management Console and installed the Endpoint Integrated Component for Symantec.  We where successful at deploying to about 85% of our clients without any major problems as well as being able to uninstall Sophos from the clients without having to touch any system.

I will be honest, there where some glitches... but not directly related to any of the two products but mostly configuration issues that we set while testing.

We still have a few (1000+) systems left but those are laptops on carts that are Frozen and not always on. 

Just a Kudos to the free tools from Dell and Symantec to help with a deployment project that would have killed our techs to touch each machine.

Now with RU5, we are testing the new features with GUP.
