  • 1.  Brightmail 7.5.0 Password lost

    Greetings all,

     

    My client recently let their in house IT support go, but before he left, he changed the password on the Brightmail appliance.

     

    Is there a utility or a process to recover the password short of resetting the box to factory default?

    Hello,

     

    Unfortunately there isn't really a way to do this. I apologize to be the bearer of bad news, but in this situation our only supported method is to do an OS restore. :smileysad:

    that's rather depressing... What should I do in the event that the OS Disk is missing as well?

    The OS restore CD can be downloaded from FileConnect. All you need is your serial number and you can download the latest image.
