  • 1.  Brightmail Message Filter 6.1(w2k3) - quarantine problem

    I have problem with quarantine. Sometimes quarantine stop working and I can't go back message from quarantine - theres are no messages. When I restart services mysql, tomcat and brightmail, quarantine start working good. In logs I have errors like:

    [4002] Could not process message C:\Program Files\Symantec\SBAS\Scanner\BmiSpool\spam\3036.1255329015.71271: moving to badmail directory.


    and mysql errors:

    Aborted connection 11 to db: 'brightmail' user: 'XXXXXXXXX' host: `localhost' (Got an error reading communication packets)

    I have this problem with older version of Brimghtmail (6.0.3) too. I have:

    Brightmail Control Center version: 6.1.1.0

    Java version: 1.4.2_13

    MySQL version: 4.0.16

    Hi,

    there could be several reasons for that line to appear on the logs. The following article covers one example:

    I'd suggest you open a case with Technical Support to make sure whatever issue this is, can be addressed.
