    Hello everyone,

    I'm new to Brightmail and am having a problem.  We host exchange email for several of our clients and are using the Brightmail Message Filter version 6.1.1.1.  There are a few clients that are getting "Vigara" spam messages.  This is a sample header:

    Microsoft Mail Internet Headers Version 2.0
    Received: from <our server> ([192.168.102.42] RDNS failed) by <our server> with Microsoft SMTPSVC(6.0.3790.4675);

    Received: from 8-181-190-190.cab.prima.net.ar ([190.190.181.8] RDNS failed) by <our server> with Microsoft SMTPSVC(6.0.3790.4675);

    Received: (qmail 9626 invoked from network); Mon, 30 May 2011 09:53:42 -0300
    Received: from 127.0.0.1 (192.168.51.87)

    To: <our clients email)
    Subject: Dear Customer! PERSONAL DISCOUNT!!!

    I'm wondering why it isn't getting caught.  They are getting tired of this as they are a conservative bunch and don't appreciate getting this garbage.  There was a list of Allowed Senders but I have disabled all of them and the spam keeps coming.  Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Tim C.

    Hi,

    There are filters in place even on this partial message to block it. You may want to open a support case to help you analyse the log files and determine what the verdict on this message was, and why it was not blocked with existing filters.

    Am I understanding correctly that I cannot submit a case without a support ID?  How do I go about finding this ID number?  I apologize for the questions but I've pretty much inherited this responsibility and nobody seems to know much about it.

    Thanks,

    Tim C.

    Customer care can typically find your customer ID/information.
