BrightMail Spam Filter configuration issue with SMTP Virtual Server.

I'm trying to set up Brightmail as my spam filter on a dedicated host. I figured out that I need to make my Mail host (MailEnable) listen on port 2525 and set IIS's SMTP Virtual Server to listen on the default port 25 as Brightmail can only use the SMTP Virtual server. In brightmail it has a place for insertion hosts which is where I would normally think to put my MaileEnable mail host (mailhost:2525) so mail comes in this order:

SMTP Virtual Server (25)> Brightmail > MailEnable(2525) > Mail Client...

Now I see that brightmail scans messages, but it then throws them right back to the SMTP Virtual server leaving them all in the bad mail folder? I've tested this 2 or three times, but so much mail comes in I have to stop and revert back to just mailenable and forward the bad mail manually (which is a pain in the @$$)...

Can anyone clear this up for me?

Another quick note I did realize I needed to set up my domain names under SMTP Virtual server as remote. Under each I had to allow relay otherwise it wouldn't accept the message.

Unfortunately, I can't find an eval download for brightmail and the online documentation is virtualy nil.

All I can say to you is really just a couple of plain statements:

    1. If the server is running mailenable, then it (probably) shouldn't even have IIS Smtp service installed.
    2. If brightmail is supposed to listen on port 25, then mailenable is probably already using it
    3. You should probably consult mailenable docs and set it's smtp listener to port 2525 (or whatever you have been trying to do with IIS smtp) instead.
