  • 1.  Brightmail - WARNING: 'Aborting Delivery due to Early Verdicts.'.

    Posted Jan 08, 2009 11:52 AM

I am having a major issue with Brightmail and cannot get support as I am currently using a Trial version...  I am running Exchange 2003 SP2 on Windows 2003 Standard SP 2. My problem is a follows: Email is being delivered into end-users's mailboxes but are then quickly removed or deleted. The major issue is that the message cannot be located anywhere. I was receiving the following error in the Application Log: WARNING: 'Aborting Delivery due to Early Verdicts.'.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

    Hi Heath,

You've not let us know what version of Brightmail you are running.

For Brightmail we pass a verdict to the mail server and the mail server takes the action. If there is some latency as to when the mail server received the mail and then decided to take the supplied action, this can happen.

Change the server logging to notices within Brightmail and see what verdict we are supplying to these messages and then see what action we should be taking in the first place. It could be that we are just giving a delete action for spam but the aforementioned issue is being seen.

    Thanks!
