  • 1.  Brightmail web-interface login by username

       Hi !

Users used to login at the old antispam software web-interface providing their username instead of the e-mail address. Although, both username and e-mail address were possible to use to login.

Does anybody know if this is possible in Brightmail (login using both username or e-mail address) ? And if it is, where may i find info about it ?

I think is something related to LDAP, we got Lotus Domino here, tried to change some configuration in Brightmail, but didn't work.

       Thanks,

    Hi Carlos,

What end users use to log into the Control Center to check their spam quarantine is dependent on the 'Login Attribute' value specified in the LDAP Authentication query details.  You can only specify one attribute as far as I'm aware so you are really only going to be able to use one or the other.

    Cheers,

    Kevin

FYI, if you wanted to login with a username instead of email address in Domino, you'd probably want to look at using the UID or CN as the login attribute, I believe by default we use the mail attribute in Domino.

    Cheers,

    Hi Carlos.
If SBG has with Domino the LDAP synchronization hypothesis,
you must simultaneously revise individual Internet Password in Domino/Notes names.nsf,
like this, You should be login to the Spam Message Quarantine by the personal from the SBG
